Torkil Gudnason's Floral Photography

The talented photographer in light today is Torkil Gudnason with his captivated Floral series. He said ‘Everything man made references nature'.

Torkil uses exaggerated lighting and colored filters to amplify the verdant fragility of the flowers and plants he photographs. ‘They change and evolve. Not one moment is the same. Sometimes they start to die and sometimes they begin to live’.

The resulting images celebrate nature’s endless permutations, evoking millennia of evolution in the curvature of a single stem... The pictures and colors are really mind blowing!

Luxury Retreats in the Private Islands, the Seychelles

Before you read further, here is a warning: what you are about to see may cause side effects in the form of buying the next plane ticket out of your city towards the nearest beach.

I love the Seychelles Islands (in the Indian Ocean). They have long been one of the world's most romantic destinations. Prince William and Kate spent their honeymoon there.

The private islands of the Seychelles embrace the surrounding force of nature and you come across some amazing birds, insects and marine life on your Robinson Crusoe, tropical island adventure.

With the sea near-buy and with the hustle of urban life far away, this is the perfect place for a great vacation...

Diesels Global Warming Ready Campaign

Great Wall of China

This is another creative Ad campaign from Diesel. The Earth is heating up. The sun will blow up within 5 billion years. The human race will probably go extinct before entering the posthuman stage, or the probability that we are now living in computer simulation run by posthumans is reaching 100%. Now what the f*ck should I wear today?

Ai Shinohara Oil Painting

My Artist of the Week: Ai Shinohara is a Japanese young artist with a skill in illustrating the delicate relationship between nature and people. Her paintings are done in a clearly defined figurative style that is clean, soft toned and feminine and features strange characters. The pretty and the gruesome are painted into the surreal composition that features young women with flowers and fish but also with clear signs of blood and death. The viewers are left with empathy for the artist and the females in her paintings that all come across as vulnerable and on the edge...
